Zeefuik, 22, stood out for Groningen last season, and has been rewarded with a move to Germany for a fee believed to be in the region of four million euro. Damil Dankerlui was already purchased from Willem II as the replacement at right-back.

With the fee accrued, Groningen have strengthened their attack. 24-year-old forward Joosten joins permanently from Utrecht, following several loan spells in recent years, including last season at Sparta Rotterdam. Joosten is hoping to cement a first-team spot this year and may be played either as a winger or as part of a front two at Groningen.
