Groningen have tied down talented striker Romano Postema to a new four-year contract.

The 18-year-old broke into the Groningen first-team this season, making 11 appearances.
Postema had a contract until 2022, but has now been upgraded and extended until 2024.
Groningen technical manager Mark-Jan Fledderus told the club’s website, “He is a very talented striker with a good feeling to be in the right place at the right time. In addition to functioning in and with a team, scoring goals is one of the most important parts of football. That is a trick that not many players master.
“So far, Romano has shown to score in every team in which he plays. He lives by scoring goals and that is a quality that you would like to see with a striker. We are therefore happy that he is under contract with us for a longer period. We continue to work on the daily growth of Romano and have great confidence in him towards the future. “
