Guidetti has been constantly linked with a return to De Kuip, where he spent the 2011-12 season on loan from Manchester City, and with his contract with the Premier League club up this summer Feyenoord have offered the striker a deal.
According to De Telegraaf, Feyenoord’s contract offer will require Guidetti to take a pay cut from the salary he is on at Manchester City, and the 22-year-old will wait on other, more lucrative, offers before making his final decision.
Guidetti is currently on loan with Scottish side Celtic, but has struggled to hold down a regular first team place, scoring only eight goals in 22 league appearances. It was with Feyenoord that Guidetti had his most productive season, scoring 20 goals in 23 games, including a hat-trick against rivals Ajax.
I understand the negotiation process. But Guidetti better be the striker next season at the open. There are no better strikers available out there for free. Anyone that is better will cost millions to sign. he is very good and young enough to show growth. There is no reason he can’t put up 20-25 goals per season. He wants to be here and we want him. Lets not screw this up by low balling him.
