The KNVB has set up the Mijnals Committee in the fight against racism and discrimination.

The committee, which is named after the first Netherlands international of Surinamese descent Humphrey Mijnals, wants to bring about a sustainable change in the football landscape.

Ruud Gullit will be part of the committee chaired by Humberto Tan, along Daphne Koster.

The anti-racism project manager at the KNVB, Houssin Bezzai said, “It has been a long-cherished wish at the KNVB. We are happy with the Mijnals committee as a valuable addition to the initiatives that are already underway. Because collectively, if we bundle all knowledge and effort, we will continue to fight racism and discrimination.”
