van gaal man defAfter months of speculation, van Gaal was finally sacked by Manchester United on Monday, only two days after the club lifted the FA Cup.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, former Netherlands great Ruud Gullit stated that van Gaal only has himself to blame for his sacking.

He said, “A lot of things were his own fault. You can’t argue with the press all the time.

“They have a certain opinion and you have to respect that. So if you argue all the time it doesn’t help you.

“Man United has a certain status and they didn’t do it in two years. No Champions League and it’s very important for them.

“Football is hard and football is not fair. So you know the rules if you go to big clubs and you don’t produce – you’re out.”
