Hake was temporarily placed in charge of Utrecht when John van den Brom departed for Genk.
Mark van Bommel was linked with the job but the club has now confirmed that Hake will stay on permanently. The 49-year-old has signed a contract for a year-and-a-half.
Hake told the clubs official website, “I am happy to have the confidence to continue the line we have started from November. Over the past few months we have been working hard to improve the game in its broadest form.”
