The Frenchman is still preparing for the European play-offs with Utrecht but has already arranged a move away from the club this summer. Eintracht Frankfurt has agreed an undisclosed fee with Utrecht for the 22-year-old who has signed a deal with the Bundesliga side until 2021.
Utrecht boss Erik ten Hag sees the move as a good step for the striker, “I know the Bundesliga well and if Sébastien continues his development, then there is a bright future for him in the offing.”
Haller joined Utrecht initially on loan from Auxerre in January 2015 before making the deal permanent six months later. He has scored 49 times for Utrecht in 94 appearances making him the most prolific foreign striker for the club ever.
