Hans de Koning new manager of Go Ahead Eagles

Go Ahead Eagles have announced Hans de Koning as their new manager. He replaces Dennis Demmers who was sacked at the beginning of February.

De Koning has good Eerste Divisie managerial experience having coached Fortuna Sittard , FC Dordrecht , Helmond Sport and most recently FC Volendam, whom he guided to the promotion play-offs.

The 55-year-old is well known in Deventer having been goalkeeper trainer at Go Ahead Eagles in the mid 1990’s. An interesting introduction as Go Ahead Eagles manager awaits de Koning as he takes his new club to the current first division leaders Sparta Rotterdam this coming Sunday.
