Excelsior top scorer Nigel Hasselbaink has left Rotterdam to sign for Israeli side Ironi Kiryat Shmona.

The 26-year-old contract with Excelsior ended this summer and on Saturday Ironi Kiryat Shmona, who finished 7th in the Israeli league last season, announced that Hasselbaink had signed for the club. The striker has joined on a three-year deal.

Hasselbaink joined Excelsior in 2015 after leaving Scottish side Hamilton. He played a crucial role in the club finishing safely in 12th this season with ten goals.
