Heerenveen have confirmed the signing of Sparta Rotterdam right-back Denzel Dumfries.

The 21-year-old will sign a four year contract in Friesland as soon as he passes his medical, which will take place on Thursday.
Dumfries, who was born in Rotterdam, has been a regular in the Sparta first team for the last two years and made 31 appearances in the Eredivisie last season. The full back has one cap for the Dutch U21 squad.
He becomes Heerenveen’s third signing of the summer after Warner Hahn and Daniel Høegh.
