Heerenveen have announced the signing of Yuki Kobayashi from Jubilo Iwata.

kobayashiThe 24-year-old midfielder was presented by Heerenveen on Wednesday after signing his three-year deal at the Abe Lenstra stadion.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Kobayashi is confident he can adapt to the Eredivisie, ” Technique, and positional play are important, so are my strengths. I also have a good understanding and I know how and when it is important to set the pace of the game. ”

The midfielder is hoping that his move to Heerenveen can bring him into contention for the Japanese national team, “I want to play for Japan at a World Cup and hope to be able to act on the same stage as players like Messi and Ronaldo,”

Heerenveen’s technical affairs manager Gerry Hamstra said on their new signing, “He knows Heerenveen is a club that makes players better.
