Heerenveen have strengthened their squad with the signing of young midfielder Ivan Rako.

The 20-year-old spent a week on trial in Friesland during November and has now joined Heerenveen permanently from Swedish second division side Motala AIF.

Rako has signed a contract for one and a half years and will begin training with the reserve squad.
