Fortuna Sittard moved away from the drop zone after a 2-1 victory over Heerenveen in Limburg.

Heerenveen only needed six minutes to take the lead with Joey Veerman sending Mitchell van Bergen through on goal and the winger calmly slotted in the opener.
However, Fortuna Sittard equalised in the 15th minute when Felix Passlack capitalised on an error by Rodney Kongolo to net the equaliser.
After the entertaining opening the game went dull but it was Fortuna Sittard, who claimed victory in the 74th minute. Sven Botman worked the ball into his own net.
The victory means Fortuna Sittard are now 13th while Heerenveen sit ninth.
