SC Heerenveen want to replace Icelandic striker Alfred Finnbogason with his compatriot Aron Elis Þrándarson from Icelandic club Vikingur Reykjavik.

prandarsonFinnbogasan looks set to depart the Abe Lenstra Stadion after two successful seasons, where he scored 59 goals in 70 Eredivisie matches. The 25 year old has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe, the latest of which is Spanish club Real Sociedad, while Newcastle United, Lazio, Roma, and Everton have also been linked.

It looks as if The Super Frisians want to replace one Icelander with other and have identified Aron Elis Þrándarson according to Icelandic newspaper Vasir.

The 19 year old has been scoring a lot of goals back in his homeland, he scored 14 goals in 14 matches last season in the second division and this season has bagged five goals in eight games at the highest level.

Þrándarson also made his under 21 debut for Iceland recently.
