The 19-year-old striker joins NEC Nijmegen from Swedish side Helsingborg, where he made 75 appearances, scoring 18 times and adding 12 assists.
Larsson told NEC’s official site, “There was a lot of interest in me, but I consciously decided to opt for the path of gradualism. And NEC seems like a very good option.”
Coach Peter Hyballa will hope Larsson can solve their goalscoring issue with NEC only netting 18 times in their opening 17 games. Striker Kevin Mayi and centre back Dario Dumic are currently the club’s top scorers with four goals each.
Larsson will join up with his new teammates on their winter break trip to Marbella on Tuesday.
