FC Twente recorded their second win of the season after seeing off neighbours Heracles Almelo 4-1 in the derby of the east.

cast12tweHeracles went into the game against their rivals rooted to the bottom of the league after five straight defeats, but after 16 minutes Wout Weghorst slotted the ball past Nick Marsman to give the home side the lead.

The lead lasted less than ten minutes though as Luc Castaignos was found just inside the area by Kyle Ebecilio and the striker made no mistake in firing into the corner.

Just before half time the Heracles defence imploded as they firstly allowed Castaignos enough room in the six yard box to easily head Twente in front and then a minute later Hakim Ziyech was found free in the box to smash past Telgenkamp and make it 3-1.

Youness Mokhtar came off the bench to seal victory for Twente as the winger was allowed to dribble to the edge of the box unchallenged before finding the bottom corner to make it 4-1 on 75 minutes.

Twente remain unbeaten in their opening six matches and climb provisionally up to 5th while Heracles terrible start to the season continues and they have drifted five points from safety already.
