Bram Castro saved a last minute penalty to earn Heracles a 2-2 draw with Sparta Rotterdam in Almelo.

The visitors were full of confidence going into the game after their cup win over PSV in midweek and they took the lead in the first half through Zakaria El Azzouzi, who tucked the ball into the net after combining with Thomas Verhaar.
In the 68th minute Heracles drew level with Brahim Darri firing an excellent strike past Ryan Korsmit. With ten minutes to go, Brandley Kuwas raced through on goal before slipping the ball past Korsmit to give the hosts the lead. However, that lead lasted around a minute before Loris Brogno shot Sparta Rotterdam level at the back post.
In injury time Finn Stokkers was brought down in the box earning Sparta a penalty, but Verhaar’s spot kick was saved by Castro. The draw keeps Sparta in 8th while Heracles are down in 15th.
