Heracles Almelo celebrated their first game at the newly renovated Polman Stadion by comfortably beating NEC Nijmegen 3-0.

The renovated Polman Stadion which was sold out at its new capacity of 12,500 was bouncing before kick off, and the fans erupted six minutes into the game after Oussama Tannane found the top corner with a terrific free kick.
Heracles continued to dominate proceedings after the goal, but had to wait until the 53rd minute to add another with Thomas Bruns netting from close range after Brahim Darri’s initial shot was parried.
NEC were reduced to ten men moments after the second goal with Marcel Appiah seeing a straight red for a wild challenge, and with the extra man Heracles added a third before the end, with Wout Weghorst finishing calmly after being played through on goal.
Its the first win of the season for Heracles, while NEC boss Ernest Faber tastes defeat for the first time.
