Guus Hiddink has trimmed his Netherlands squad from 30 to 27 ahead of the friendly with the United States next Friday.

FBL-WC-2014-MATCH36-NED-CHIThe three unlucky players to miss out on the USA tie on the 5th of June and the crucial European Championships qualifier with Latvia a week later are AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong, QPR’s Leroy Fer, and PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet.

Hiddink said on the choices, “Leroy, in recent days, has trained apart from the group, and is not match fit in time. Nigel, I have let know that in view of the upcoming games i have opted for a different type of player. The selection included four goalkeepers and unfortunately for Zoet, there is only room for three. ”

The squad will resume training in Hoenderloo on Monday, but Wesley Sneijder and Jeremain Lens will join up later due to commitments for the club.

The 25 players that will take part on Monday are as follows:
