hiddink oranHiddink received a lot of criticism during his year-long second spell in charge of Netherlands, leaving his position on Monday after only four wins out of ten games and with the Oranje struggling in the qualifiers for next years European Championships.

However Hiddink’s reputation doesn’t seem to have been damaged, with the 68-year-old already being linked with a new job just days after quitting the Oranje. According to The Independent, Hiddink has been approached by Leicester City over becoming their new coach after Nigel Pearson was sacked by the Premier League club earlier this week.

The club’s chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha is hoping to improve the club’s image in Asia and believes Hiddink is the perfect coach for the club, due to his past ties with South Korea, who he led to the World Cup semi finals in 2002.

Sky Bet currently make Hiddink the favourite for the coaching position ahead of former Leicester City player Neil Lennon.
