The Italian giants spent big in the summer but have had a disappointing start to the campaign and currently sit 10th in the table.

AC Milan face Genoa on Sunday and according to several reports, a defeat will spell the end of Montella’s spell in charge of the club. Possible replacements are already being discussed with La Gazetta Dello Sport naming Guus Hiddink among the candidates.

The former Netherlands boss has been out of work since leaving an interim spell in charge of Chelsea in 2016. Paulo Sousa, Cesare Prandelli and Gennaro Gattuso are also mentioned as possible candidates.
