0000000hiddinkAfter the 1-1 draw with Turkey on Saturday, Hiddink had received criticism from the media and Dutch football legends such as Willem van Hanegem and Johan Cruyff, with calls for the KNVB to sack the 68-year-old.

However Hiddink refused to discuss his future to media after the 2-0 win over Spain in the Amsterdam Arena, and revealed that he is feeling no pressure despite Netherlands in risk of missing out on Euro 2016.

Hiddink said, “Don’t keep asking me if I am staying on as coach,”

“There is no weight fallen off my back now. I never felt any weight on my back. We were always very keen to win this game and I saw in the first half a side who were highly motivated.

“This gives a lot of confidence to the team, we must regard this match as a good start for our next qualifier.”

On the criticism from the likes of Cruyff, Hiddink added, “I have no desire to get involved in any street fights. In the end it has nothing to do with football. I want to talk about football only. Let’s rather talk about that.”
