Lazio have confirmed the signing of Wesley Hoedt on a season-long loan deal from Southampton.

The centre-back joined Lazio from AZ Alkmaar back in 2015 and had a two-year spell in Italy before joining Southampton.

Hoedt struggled in England and has spent time on loan with Celta Vigo and Royal Antwerp. The Dutch international has now moved back to Lazio on loan until the end of the season.

Lazio has negotiated an option to buy Hoedt permanently at the end of the season.
