Free agent Keisuke Honda began training with Vitesse Arnhem on Thursday.

The 33-year-old midfielder is without a club after leaving Melbourne City at the end of last season.

He then began training with his former side VVV Venlo before offering himself to clubs such as Manchester United and AC Milan.

On Thursday, Honda joined Vitesse Arnhem’s training where he is reunited with his former CSKA Moscow boss Leonid Slutsky.

Honda will spend time with Vitesse but the club have confirmed that there is no guarantee of a contract being offered to the Japanese international.
