The versatile defender has struggled to break into Monaco’s starting eleven since joining from Feyenoord last summer in a €13 million deal, starting only three league games.
Kongolo has been told by the French club that he is able to leave on loan in January with Monaco coach Leanardo Jardim keen to cut down his squad. According to France Football, Kongolo can head to the Premier League with Huddersfield Town showing interest or he could join Monaco’s ligue 1 compatriots Bordeaux.
Huddersfield Town, who currently sit 11th in the Premier League want to strengthen their defence in order to stay away from the drop zone, while Bordeaux have had a difficult campaign and sit 15th in Ligue 1.
Come home Kongolo! With Haps out there is plenty of playing time available with Feyenoord.
