Frank de Boer has come under pressure from the Italian media but Inter Milan executives have confirmed that they fully support the Dutchman.

de-boer-inter-boThe former Ajax boss took over the Serie A giants in the summer but has had a difficult start in Milan, with the club sitting 10th in the league table, while losing two of their three Europa League group games so far.

Italian media has been speculating that De Boer could be sacked, but speaking after the Inter Milan shareholders meeting, CEO Michael Bolingbroke has stated that they fully support the Dutchman.

He said, “We’re very satisfied with Frank de Boer.

“He accepted to come here at the last minute and it’s not an easy situation. We’re 100 percent behind him.”

Inter’s chief sport officer, Piero Ausilio also confirmed that they have not contacted any other coach, “A lot of people are offering themselves but Inter’s bench belongs to Frank de Boer. We support him and we’re convinced that his football project will be a winning one.”
