depay 78Depay burst onto the scene in the Eredivisie last season, with the 20-year-old showcasing his terrific talents on the wing. His performances for PSV will have undoubtedly made clubs stand up and take notice, while being named in the Netherlands provisional squad for the World Cup, has elevated his name even further.

English tabloids speculated this week that new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, Depay’s coach at Netherlands, is going to bid around €15-20 million for the youngster.  However ED reporter Rik Elfrink has reported that PSV have received no bids for the youngster.

Now Sky Italia claim Inter Milan are watching Depay closely, and that they could make a move to sign the winger this summer.

PSV fans are in for a long summer of speculation surrounding Depay, and good performances at the World Cup, will only add to the possibility of a move. The player himself has always said he will do anything to reach the top of his game, but Depay should be wary of leaving Eindhoven too soon.

There are huge signs of talent yes, but Depay is by no means the finished article, and he would definitely benefit from another season developing in the Eredivisie, before making the big move abroad. However there is nothing PSV can do if a club offers a huge transfer fee, and bigger wages.
