Coach Jan Vreman told NOS after the match, ”We have a mixed feeling about the result we have a point .But it could have so easily been an extra 2 points for us if we had secured a victory.

“Vitesse played a good game today with good positional play and we kept our discipline well and we did not give much away.

“I believe that you see a difference in our team now and before the winter break in the fact that we are now picking up points.”

Jan Vreman was questioned about De Graafschap’s upturn in form and what he expects to happen in the final months of the season. He said, ”We will continue to fight everyday to improve and the battle we have with SC Cambuur to avoid automatic relegation will be a huge one but we are not just focusing on SC Cambuur and avoiding relegation but also looking up the league to see if we can achieve even more together as we approach the final months of the season”.
