The Dutch right-back was heavily linked with a move to Italy earlier in the transfer window, but it now appears that Janmaat will move back to the Premier League.
The Evening Chronicle is reporting that Watford have had a bid, believed to be £10 million, accepted by Newcastle United for the 27-year-old, while West Ham are also interested.
Janmaat, who joined Newcastle in 2014 from Feyenoord, is set to hold talks with Watford in the next few days and should seal a move away from St James Park before the transfer window shuts next week.
