The Dutchman joined Spurs from AZ Alkmaar for around £17 million last summer but has failed to impress in England and has found himself third choice behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
According to the Evening Standard, Janssen has now been told he can leave the club before the transfer window shuts, with West Brom a possible destination. The 23-year-old has been offered to several clubs in England and abroad.
Janssen has scored six times in 36 appearances for Tottenham.
Madness… think he will come good in the end. Have we got a replacement? Not that I’ve seen. Please don’t say Son. We need an out and out striker ffs.
Agree. Spurs need to persevere with Janssen. If he gets enough game time he will come good. if they sell him they have to buy somebody else or promote Sterling from the 23’s – not sure he’s ready yet.
A smaller EPL club than Tottenham does sound like a good option for him. Either that or Ligue 1. In either case there will be much more playing time and far less pressure on him than there is in London.
Janssen … Go back home.. join feyenoord and play Champions League matches.
…no way. Join ajax, go to AZ we don’t want him.
