According to De Telegraaf, Royal Antwerp are interested in signing Vincent Janssen from Monterrey this summer.

The striker will return to the Netherlands national team on Tuesday as he will start up front against Wales in the UEFA Nations League. Just a few hours before the match, De Telegraaf are reporting that Janssen could also be returning to Europe.

Royal Antwerp, which has Marc Overmars as technical director and Mark van Bommel as head coach, are interested in signing the 27-year-old from Monterrey.

Janssen still has two years left on his deal in Mexico and earns around €2 million a year. However, the move back to Europe would increase his chances of being involved in the Netherlands World Cup squad.

Royal Antwerp is not the only club showing interest in the striker, who played for Almere City, AZ Alkmaar, Tottenham Hotspur, and Fenerbahce before moving to Mexico three years ago.
