The draw was the 4th time in six games that PSV had dropped points and therefore missed the opportunity to close the gap on Ajax and leaders Feyenoord.
Zoet said after the game, ”It is very frustrating that we return to Eindhoven with only a point. We are having a difficult time of late and we must remain positive and ensure that we keep clean sheets. We now look forward to Wednesday and playing away against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
”We have dropped points again tonight and that is disappointing because we have been playing better this season away from home rather than at home. Everybody in the changing room has the feeling that would should have won tonight especially in the period of 20 -25 minutes in the 2nd half where we played really well and we were convinced that we would score”.
Jeroen Zoet also spoke about his return to PSV Eindhoven starting lineup due to a muscle injury. ”I came back too quick in the first instance and then I suffered a reaction in training but I am pleased to be back and I am determined to play all the matches up until the winter break.”
