FC Groningen has confirmed the signing of Jetro Willems on a deal until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old left-back has been training with Groningen recently and the club are happy with what they saw enough to offer Willems a deal until the end of the season.
Willems has been a free agent since leaving Greuther Furth in September and has now decided on a return to the Eredivisie.
The 22-time Netherlands international previously played for Sparta Rotterdam, PSV Eindhoven, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Newcastle United.
Willems could make his debut this weekend against Excelsior with Groningen looking to ease their relegation fears.
