Stegeman said after the game, ”We did not score enough over the two games and we under performed tonight. Nobody wanted the ball or to take a man on, they hide away. We were lucky that it was still 0-0 at half time and we barely created anything during the 90 minutes.

”We showed our lack of experience in these types of games and maybe we are not as good as we think we are. We now have to work very hard from the very start of the league season. When you play European matches you must have the guts and aggression to go for it and take the fight to the opponent we did not do that tonight. Let’s hope we can turn the tide and take something from this into the new league season”.
