The 53-year-old took over from Ron Jans, who stepped down as PEC Zwolle boss at the end of last season after a disappointing campaign. Van’t Schip is targeting a better campaign and hoping to finish high up the table.
Van’t Schip said, ” Ron Jans did a very good job at PEC Zwolle the last 4 years and I want to look forward. We started our pre-season today and we want to perform well this season.
”We want to finish as high up the Eredivisie table as possible this season.”
Van’t Schip also hinted at new arrivals over the next few weeks, ”During the transfer market players will come and go that is always the case. We have to train well and work towards the start of the season.”
