Vitesse finished the season in fine form, winning the Europe League play-offs against Heerenveen. Head coach Peter Bosz will hope Dahl Tomasson’s experience can help put them in good stead for the upcoming campaign. He won the UEFA Cup with Feyenoord in 2002 and the Champions League with AC Milan the following season, so clearly has pedigree.
However his post-playing career has not been quite so glamorous so far. Short spells as an assistant, then head coach at Excelsior and Roda JC were relatively unsuccessful. In fact, this is the former Feyenoord forwards’ first job since being sacked from Roda JC in May 2014 following their relegation.
