The agent of Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie has responded to rumours of interest from Italian side Fiorentina.

clasie 2The Tuscan club have been linked with Clasie, who has a contract at De Kuip until 2016, since last summer, and the rumours of a move to Serie A wont go away.

Speaking to Italian site  Tuttomercatoweb.com the players agent Wessel Weezenberg had this to say  “Fiorentina wanting Clasie? Currently nothing is true, although I can not deny that the Viola were interested in the boy during the last summer.”

“Currently they are just rumors, Clasie is good for Feyenoord and his future will be in the Netherlands until the end of the season”

He went on to add “He has a contract until 2016 but is wanted by various clubs. Clasie  is now part of the  national squad, he may be involved in the World Cup, if he does we will then evaluate both his price and possible moves”

The 22 year old midfielder has already made over one hundred senior appearances for Feyenoord and has been capped six times at full international level. Clasie received a call up to this weeks friendly matches with Japan, and Colombia, but had to pull out through injury.
