News broke on Tuesday evening that Newcastle United were in talks with Feyenoord over the 27-year-old striker with a fee of €20 million mentioned.
However, Sky Sports are reporting that Newcastle have only offered £14 million, which has been rejected. The Premier League strugglers are reportedly hesitating over matching Feyenoord’s asking price of more than £20 million and are exploring other options.
#NUFC latest: Jorgensen remains striker priority, but last seasons Eredivisie top scorer will now cost more than 20m! Other targets being explored. Rafa and Lee Charnley expected to speak today to move forward. Player sales still unlikely at this stage, but interest in a few. 1/2
