The Danish striker was unhappy with the club after they rejected an offer from Newcastle United last summer. He then had a difficult campaign which saw him net only seven goals in 24 Eredivisie appearances.
The 28-year-old now believes that another year at Feyenoord would benefit him better than leaving.
He told BT, “I need a very good and stable year. You never know what happens, but I need a year in which I play everything. Then we’ll see again.”
Jorgensen is happy with the appointment of Jaap Stam as Feyenoord’s new head coach, “It looks good. He wants to play offensive football and that makes it easier to score. I’m looking forward to starting at Feyenoord again.”
