PSV Eindhoven midfielder Jorrit Hendrix spoke to NOS of his excitement after learning they had drawn Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League.

PSV were in pot two for the last 16 draw on Monday and they drew Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, who were finalists in the competition last year.
Jorrit Hendrix believes Atletico are up there with Barcelona and Real Madrid, and has warned the club’s fans not to underestimate the Spanish side.
Hendrix said, ”I believe that you can put Atletico Madrid in the same row as Barcelona & Real Madrid”.
”If you look at how the club has grown in the last few seasons not just in Europe but also in Spain it’s a great draw for us”.
”I personally do not watch a lot of football on TV but if you look at recent seasons they have gone far in Europe and off course they reached the Champions League final in Lisbon in 2014 against Real Madrid”.
”We have to analyse and study them well’.
”Here at home in Eindhoven with the 12th man our fans behind us they can spur us on.
“In terms of the name maybe Atletico Madrid are a little bit less than the top clubs and naturally people will think that it will be possible for us to win over two legs. We must not underestimate Atletico Madrid and we will not do that at all”.
”We must as always try to win at home and maybe pinch a draw in Spain. It is not as if we do not stand a chance of progressing against Atletico Madrid”.
