Willem II manager Jurgen Streppel refuted the rumors by the Dutch press linking him to the vacant manager’s position at FC Groningen.

Current Groningen boss Edwin van de looi has already announced that he will leave the Euroborg this summer, and Strtppel’s name has been heavily linked with the position. After his team’s 0-0 draw away against Excelsior Rotterdam last night, Streppel spoke to NOS.
He said,”I have also read the rumors in the Dutch press that I have already spoken to FC Groningen but that is completely untrue”.
“It’s very annoying because I was preparing for an important game tonight against Excelsior”.
“I am on the payrol of Willem II and I am proud to be part of this club “.
” You never know what can happen in football but I am only focused on keeping Willem II in de Eredivisie “.
