According to reports in Italy, Juventus remains in the race to sign Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.

The saga surrounding the central defenders future is rumbling on while De Ligt himself is currently on vacation.

Over the past week, PSG have emerged as the favourites to sign the 19-year-old with Barcelona unwilling to match Mino Raiola’s demands.

Juventus were thought to be out of the running but according to Tuttosport, the Serie A giants aren’t ready to give up on the Dutch international just yet.

Juventus sporting director Pavel Nedved is set to meet Raiola next week and hopes to use his good relationship with the agent to agree terms on De Ligt.
