The 18-year-old has been a first-team regular for NEC for the past two seasons and was recently named the best talent in the Eerste Divisie’s third period.

Kadioglu continued his fine form with Netherlands U19’s on Wednesday, contributing a goal and an assist in the 6-1 win over Norway.

Speaking to Voetbal International, Kadioglu said after the game, “I feel very nice here. I often play good matches at Oranje. I play here with the best talents in the Netherlands and can therefore excel. I get a lot of trust and can really show myself.”

Turkey have been watching the young midfielder in the hope of poaching him from Netherlands. Kadioglu has confirmed contact, but pledged his future to Oranje, for now, “There has indeed been contact. It is an option, but at the moment I choose Oranje.”
