Todd Kane’s loan with NEC Nijmegen has been ended abruptly after the defender suffered a Cruciate injury.

NEC have confirmed that Kane tore his anterior Cruciate ligament in Tuesday’s defeat at PEC Zwolle, ending the right-back’s season early.
The 22-year-old will now return to England to undergo surgery before starting his rehabilitation with Chelsea. Kane is expected to be out for six months.
The injury will be a major blow for the youngster who has been impressive on loan with NEC and had hoped to prove himself to Chelsea next season.
Kane made 32 appearances for NEC this season, netting once and adding two assists.
