Sparta Rotterdam v Telstar

Into the last round of matches for the first period of the Eerste Divisie. Last weeks results mean a win for Sparta will crown them champions of the period and hand them a ticket to enter at the first round of the play-offs at the end of the season. Of course, if they finish in the top five come May, this will not matter since they will enter at the second round. They should find it fairly comfortable against Telstar who were hammered 3-0 at home to NEC last week. This game will be shown live on Fox Sports NL. 2-0 | Sparta to Win

Jong AZ v Roda JC

Roda still sit in the bottom half and without a win in three. You could say a draw with Sparta isn’t too bad, but in the position their in, wins are crucial. It’s looking more and more unlikely that they’ll be challenging with the big boys this season, which is sad to see since they’re supporters still turn up in numbers despite relegation from the Eredivisie. They need striker Mario Engels to re find the form he was in earlier on in the season if they want to push up the table. 1-2 | Both Teams To Score

RKC Waalwijk v Jong Utrecht

Another defeat last time out for Waalwijk, which sees them now without a win in eight. They face Jong Utrecht who were torn apart at home to Twente, losing 6-1. This is a great opportunity for either side to pick up some much needed points. Tough games follow for both teams, which include Twente for Waalwijk and Roda for Utrecht. 1-0

Jong PSV v Dordrecht

Jong PSV have been playing some nice stuff recently and look even better than their Ajax counterparts. A respectable point was picked up in Maastricht last week and now they have the opportunity to build on that against Dordrecht. The away side still sit bottom despite picking up a point last weekend. 3-1 | Over 2.5 Goals

Volendam v Jong Ajax

Volendam haven’t lost in four now, which is good viewing for them since they had a slow start. They need to turn draws into victories though which won’t be easy against Jong Ajax who move back into the top half with a win last week despite playing with ten men for the majority of the second half. The home side must be weary of nineteen year old striker Danilo who bagged a brace last week. 0-2

Go Ahead Eagles v Cambuur

The eagles seem to be back in full swing with back to back wins and managing to stay unbeaten through a tough period of playing the divisions strongest sides. They sit in first place with a two point cushion, however not in the period standings. Go Ahead must beat Cambuur, while hoping Sparta do not win and bettering Almere’s result for them to win the period title. This could definitely happen, however it’s a big ask. Cambuur picked up their first win in five last week. This game will be shown live on Fox Sports NL. 1-1 |

FC Twente v Almere City

Huge game in the title race between third and forth. Twente demolished Jong Utrecht last week while Almere finally lost their unbeaten run, losing to Go Ahead. Both sides can still win the first period, here are the stats. Twente must win, while hoping Sparta and Go Ahead do not win. It’s simpler for Almere, they must win, at least matching Go Aheads result and also hoping Sparta don’t win. Confusing but definitely possible. This game will be shown live on Fox Sports NL. 2-1

Helmond Sport v MVV Maastricht

Another week passes and Helmond are still searching for their first win of the campaign. Somehow, they still sit above Dordrecht but must start winning soon or else they’ll be occupying that bottom spot. MVV will fancy their chanced here, especially if perform like they have done at some points this season. 0-1 | MVV Double Chance

Den Bosch v FC Eindhoven

Den Bosch are on fire. Four wins in a row and no goals conceded in their last three. They picked up a special away win at rivals Oss last weekend and they will want to keep their run going here. They still have an outside chance of winning the period title. They must win while the four teams above them (Sparta, Go Ahead, Almere, Twente) all fail to win. Very very unlikely. Nevertheless, still a fantastic start to the season which sees them move up to fifth place. 1-0

NEC Nijmegen v TOP Oss

NEC picked up an important win last week, which keeps them in and around the top few places. Another one here is vital to kick start some form which they haven’t seen since the beginning of the season. Oss will come here fighting and it won’t be easily at all for the home side. 2-2 | Both Teams To Score
