Friday 5th October (19:00 BST)

Almere City v NEC Nijmegen

This weeks round of matches involves two top of the table clashes. First of them being here in Almere, where NEC are the visitors. The home side are currently 2nd, while NEC are 5th. However, only a point separates the away side and league leaders Go Ahead. This is bound to be a great match with a few goals a certain at the very least. Almere are on a three game winning streak and it will be a fantastic achievement if they were to continue that here against NEC who are still unbeaten. This game will be shown live on Fox Sports NL. 1-2 | Both Teams To Score

Volendam v Waalwijk

Volendam are still without a win, while Waalwijk have lost four of their last five. Not great reading for either side but a great chance to put things right for one of the two. I don’t think there will be much in this one, so no surprise if this is a draw. 1-1

Jong Ajax v Telstar

Jong Ajax were shocked last week at home to the hands of FC Eindhoven who were without a win all season until last week. The home side now sit comfortably in mid table which is definitely not what they are capable of. Telstar responded well last week from back to back defeats by beating Oss 1-0. 2-0

Roda JC v Jong PSV

Roda picked up a crucial three points last week away at Cambuur, who were then top of the table. The home side haven’t been able to string together any sort of form as of yet so this could be the opportunity. Jong PSV fell to a late goal in Enschede last Sunday and lost 2-1. 2-0 | Roda to Win

Go Ahead Eagles v Sparta Rotterdam

The second top of the table clash this week involves Go Ahead and Sparta. Both sit joint top alongside Almere and Twente on sixteen points. Sparta returned to winning ways last week after their draw to Oss, thats now five wins from six for them. Go Ahead drew last week which means they have only won one of their last three, surprising since they won their opening five. 0-1 | Under 2.5 Goals

FC Eindhoven v FC Twente

Eindhoven picked up their first win of the season last week, and it was an impressive one to say the least, 3-0 away at last seasons winners Jong Ajax. They have another tough opponent now in Twente, who have won their last three and now sit joint top amongst three other sides. I think the away side will have enough to see them off however it won’t be comfortable. 1-2

Dordrecht v Cambuur

Dordrecht sit rock bottom still without a win, losing their last seven in all competitions. They face Cambuur who have started the season strongly, but are without a goal in their last two encounters. Could this be the best opportunity for them to pick up their first three points? 0-1

MVV Maastricht v Den Bosch

MVV are playing well and are now unbeaten in four matches. They are edging up into the top half of the table which is a solid start for them. Den Bosch responded from back to back defeats by beating Jong AZ 3-1. 1-0

Jong AZ v Helmond Sport

Helmond are still without a win in this season, including the cup where they were hammered 5-0 at home to Fortuna Sittard. They face Jong AZ who have only won once themselves, so could this be the end of their dreadful start. I can’t see many goals being scored here. 0-0

TOP OSS v Jong Utrecht

Oss sit comfortably in 8th place, however haven’t scored in their last three matches. They will hope to make things right again against Jong Utrecht who haven’t scored in their last two themselves. I think the home side will get the job done without too much trouble. 2-1
