King of Netherlands, Willem-Alexander has paid tribute to Johan Cruyff, who lost his battle with cancer on Thursday.

Willem-Alexander released a statement after the news broke on Thursday, stating that Netherlands had lost a unique hero.
He said, “With the death of Johan Cruyff, Netherlands loses a unique and brilliant sportsman. He has enriched our football and given it a new face. He has put his heart and soul to make the sport accessible to everyone. He was an icon of the Netherlands. Johan Cruyff was all of us.”
“My wife and I sympathize with his family and friends at this sad day.”
