Liverpool defeated Chelsea 5-3 in their last home game of the season on Wednesday and were then presented with their first Premier League trophy. However, no fans were allowed to see it.
Jurgen Klopp spoke to Sky Sports afterwards and put everything into perspective and looked at the situation of PSG and Ajax, “You have to make the best of it, this means everything to me. Of course everything would be better with supporters, but a few months ago I thought it would be impossible to play football.
“Did Paris Saint-Germain get the cup? Ajax did not get it. Bayern Munich had to celebrate in a completely empty stadium, at least we still had relatives who were present. We can’t change it.”
Ajax finished the season top of the Eredivisie table on goal difference from AZ Alkmaar but was not given a trophy and are the unofficial champions.
