The winger left AS Roma to join RB Leipzig on loan late in the transfer window, and has so far made substitute appearances for the German side.
Speaking to Voetbal international, Kluivert said he didn’t expect to leave Roma, “I didn’t really want to leave Rome, but at the end I did and it is very nice to see that such a club is interested in you. hat gives you a boost to show that they did not bring me there for nothing. It was a lot of learning the first month, but I also feel more and more at ease.”
Kluivert has set his goals for a successful season, “This season has been a success for me if I can call myself a starting player at Leipzig, have reached the European Championship with Oranje and have scored many goals. If you do not score goals, you do not represent anything as an attacker, that’s how I see it.”
The 21-year-old is currently part of the Netherlands U21 squad but has two caps for Netherlands.
