Roma boss Paulo Fonseca has explained why he dropped Justin Kluivert from the squad for their win over Parma earlier this week.

The winger was missing from the 2-1 victory over Parma with ‘technical reasons’ being the reason given at the time.

However, Fonseca has now revealed that Kluivert missed the game because of his attitude. He told his press conference, “I was not pleased with his attitude to the match against Parma. That’s why I kept him out of the competition selection. “

Kluivert looks set to be recalled for the game against Bresia on Saturday though, “Kluivert responded very well to it and trained well on Thursday. If he trains well again, he can be part of the group again.”
